Day 10
Four to go

Covid - Self Test Kit |
A quick scan of the pack's QR code and we were individually linked to the online system for carrying out the test. Heart sank when we saw 338 people ahead of us in the queue though within 10-15 minutes we were both connected with a nurse who talked us through the procedure.
The finished result is picked up by a courier tomorrow afternoon. Our address that we entered when setting up the App at Toronto airport, before our first test, was already in the system.
It is amazingly efficient and well designed, from the technology behind the App and tracking process, the design of the self test box and kit, through to the overall workflow. It is pretty impressive.
More efficient than the vaccination programme in Canada, says our son. Certainly the programme got off to a slow start and is well behind the success of the UK's progress. It is gathering pace.
We now await the results which have to go back to a lab a few minutes from where we were staying in Ontario at our quarantine hotel. We hope they might be back on Friday and assume if clear, we'll be allowed out to play.
Beyond that, the highlights for today are a grocery delivery and a wine order. Such simple pleasures.
Yesterday evening Jack went 'walking out' with Josie, the bouncy boxer from upstairs. Wary of going without us, he soon realized that it was an opportunity to sniff out the area and pulled Shari, our host in Bronte Drive, all around the walk. He returned full of the joys of spring and surrendered his ball to Josie in the garden; not willing to retrieve it from such bouncy competition! They seem to get on pretty well!
He didn't disgrace himself as he's been invited out again this evening!
Freedom beckons! So glad you are reunited with Jack and looking forward to hearing more adventures! MR
