Time to book your Winter skiing, Spring breaks and Summer vacations.

Canada has been added to the UK's Green List and Canada now allows double vaccinated visitors (which means Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca), and a negative Covid test within 72 hours of travel into the country Canada.

No more excuses, your Canadian adventure awaits.  We have one booking for late July 2022 already!  😀
"Expedition Canada" is happy to advise!  We are particularly strong on bear encounters.  The large male Black Bear is still around!

We've stayed local for the last couple of days.  Fred has played tennis, I have been in the workshop
and we've done a few walks.

The big news is that we got Fred on a Paddleboard (SUP), she didn't fall off (much to my disappointment) and for someone who has a love/hate relationship with water (loves to look at it, not so keen in or on it, particularly if the swell is greater than a mill-pond), she rather enjoyed it.

Jack was quicker getting on than Fred, but soon walked the plank to allow an unfettered first paddle.  Nice hat Flobalob!

We heard today that a young friend from Burbage, who is now living and working in the equestrian competition world in the the US, is a couple of hours down the road later this month and plans to pop in for a day or two while in BC, with her two spaniels.  Looking forward to the catch-up, but not sure what Jack will make of a spiral of spaniels around the place.

Wednesday morning a local electrician came in to install a Level 2 charger for Fred's Nissan Leaf.  I cannot get my head around North American Power standards.  I am used to Live, Neutral and Earth in the UK or 3 Phase (in my old workshop)  - three lives and an earth.  Over here two phase (240V) is two live and earth (2 x 120v).  I just don't get it.  Happy for anybody who can offer simple explanation to get in touch.

The new power outlet is doubly good news as a chap in Sechelt was selling some workshop equipment and I bought a table saw, band saw and drill press for £300 equivalent.  Not as good as the kit I disposed of in my UK workshop, but good enough for now and will get me started.

Back from an afternoon walk the Black Tailed Doe and two fawns were grazing along our road.  We got within five metres before they trotted off.  It looked as though one of the fawns was keen to get acquainted with Jack until mum got in the way.  Jack was completely disinterested.  They didn't have feathers and two legs

Other than that, Blackberry Gin made and in Kilner jars, ready for Christmas!
